Our Mission
To arrange for and provide safe transportation for rescued puppies and dogs as well as cats and kittens, primarily via air transport. These pets come from over-crowded shelters, many of which are considered “high-kill” shelters, as well as private rescues in rural areas of Alabama where adoption is highly unlikely, consequently leading to them being euthanized. The rescued pets are transported to private rescue groups throughout Florida, where they will receive needed medical care and attention and will be spayed/neutered making them healthy and ready for adoption. Additional support will be given to assist in spay and neutering efforts in the much-needed rural areas of Alabama.
Our History
This operation began unofficially in September 2010 by Pilot Michael Young. After 13 years he has personally flown over 11,000 pups/dogs and coordinated the air transport of several hundred more by other pilots. It has now grown into a huge operation with dozens of volunteer pilots in Alabama and Florida as well as hundreds of volunteers on Ground Support.
